Aventine’s Gallery: AoS Halflings of Sigmar
I’ve been toying with the idea of converting up some Age of Sigmar Halflings with the Bloodbowl team, the Greenfield Grasshuggers. Take a look.
I was inspired to do these conversions ever since seeing the amazing work done by Chris Coles, which was showcased over on Warhammer Community.
With the coming of Cities of Sigmar an idea started to percolate. A community of Halflings, located off in some dale yon away from the Living City, on an oft-tranquil coast of Thyria, forced to defend their homes.
A force of Sylvaneth and one very exasperated Stormcast hope to get the pitiful Halflings in fighting shape. The addition of other forces will mean I’ll only have to convert around forty of the little guys.
These are the results of my first box, a group of Halfling Archers (Crossbowmen! Dead eye shots y’know?) and a Halfling Battlemage. The Archers are simply a mix of the Bloodbowl team and a number of Grot bows. With the Battlemage I wanted to convey his etheric connection to nature, so the growing branches were added to show his arcane might.
I can’t wait to get the entire army finished up. I want to see these guys take on some Gloomspite Gitz!
