The Endless Spells of the Mortal Realms are powerful and deadly, but some just look kinda dorky. We’re not about that. Here are the 5 coolest Endless Spells.

Now that the GW webstore has officially announced that it is reopening, it will not be much longer until new and exciting things start showing up for the Aelves and the Gargants. In the meantime, however, we still have all the awesome things that dropped before Nurgle turned his gaze our way. To that end, I took a look at the range of Endless spells, and scoped out the five coolest looking spells in Age of Sigmar, presented in no particular order.

Mesmerizing Mirror

This spell is so very Slaanesh, and really captures what I think a spell from a god like that would create. A mystical swirling mirror held aloft by an elegant, lithe, dangerous looking hand that shows the viewer’s deepest desires is exactly the sort of thing a Slaaneshi daemon would create. It also helps that it’s really strong on the battlefield, and can pull your enemy’s favorite heroes into expertly crafted traps, all the better to praise Slaanesh with glorious depravity.

Tome of Eyes

As above, this is a spell that perfectly embodies the god it is beholden to, and also gives me mighty Hermaeus Mora vibes for those of us also in the Elder Scrolls fandom. What Tzeentchian sorcerer wouldn’t want a magical tome that follows him around on a flaming pillar, offering them untold arcane power for a moderate blood price. The spell that it grants to the power hungry mage that summons it is pretty snazzy too, and the Tome is a great companion for a mobile spellcaster like a Tzaangor Shaman or a Magister on Disc.

Hexgorger Skulls

Ok so TECHNICALLY this isn’t an endless spell, but it falls into the same general category and it’s way too awesome not to talk about. Floating skulls emblazoned with the brass rune of Khorne that weep blood and eat spells for breakfast is about as Khornate as you can get. This is the perfect endless prayer to punish errant mages that dare practice their foul arts around your warriors, and it looks pretty rad to boot.

Purple Sun of Shyish

This one had to make the cut, because it feels the most OG of all the Endless spells. The Purple Sun of Shyish technically existed back in the days of the old world as the Purple Sun of Xereus, a high level death spell that clearly got a mind of its own when it crossed worlds. I love the design of the massive skull face on the front and the rippling energy that surrounds the sphere. Truly this is a spell of great and cosmic proportions, one that transcended time and space to keep messing up fools.

Soulstealer Carrion

As a fan of the old school Tomb Kings and the new school Ossiarchs, I’ll admit I’m a little biased about a spell that looks like a big ghost-eating vulture, but here we are. I love the design of this spell, it looks so Ossiarch and Nagashy all at once, and seems to hearken back to his days as a humble citizen of Nehekhara. Painting this bad boy up was a real treat, and it fits into the army so seamlessly it’s almost an auto-include.

Which spell is your favorite?
