Before Matthew Mercer, before Acquisitions Incorporated, before anyone had streamed anything, Dungeons & Dragons had their very own radio play.

We truly live in a golden age for RPGs. Despite the controversies, despite the problems with representation, despite the difficulties that different role playing games have in establishing an audience, it's now easier than ever for anyone to get into RPG's. And a big part of the reason for that is that live streaming has made gaming so much more accessible for everyone. Now if you wanna know what goes on in the game of Dungeons and Dragons it's as easy as tuning into twitch where you can see any number of people playing out perilous adventures and grand campaigns. The same goes for other systems as well, you can find people playing through hacks of games powered by the apocalypse, you can find people playing Blades in the Dark.

You can even find some of your favorite celebrities in voice actors playing and I don't just mean Matthew Mercer and company either.
