Looking to start a new Drukhari Army? Then the Crusade Rules are perfect for you. Take a look at a preview of things to come.

The Drukhari are on deck to get a codex for pre-order this weekend and with that comes a ton of new goodies to the game. Naturally that means there will also be the inclusion of new Crusade Rules for the army to use which a great for starting a new army and creating a narrative for your forces. Today, GW showed off some of the options you’ll have access to for a Crusade Army so let’s dive in.

via Warhammer Community

“The new codex introduces a range of unique rules that can be used alongside those in the Warhammer 40,000 Core Book to represent your Drukhari Crusade force. As your army grows, you can take advantage of Agendas, Requisitions, Battle Scars, and more to really personalise your force.”

Soul Trap

If your Archon is going to be character killing then you might as well get rewarded for it. GW equates this to a “coffee shop loyalty card” which by Commorragh standards is kind of accurate. Get 5 character kills and your Archon gets a boost to their Attacks, Strength, Toughness, and Leadership. Seems like a great deal.

Toxin Distilleries

Why settle for off the shelf toxins when you can craft your own brew. I had no idea that the Drukhari were into making moonshine, but hey, it’s a thing – for Toxins at least! Grant a unit Poisoned Weapons on a 2+ with your very own Toxin Distilleries!

Assert Authority

“It’s one thing claiming a territory, but it’s another thing entirely keeping hold of it. If your Crusade force faces off against another Drukhari one, you’re in danger of losing one of your hard-earned territories.”

Or in this case, if you win, you’ll be the one claiming the territory. Hey, you don’t Raid the Raiders and not expect a little payback.

Agonite

This is another poison weapon upgrade you can score as a part of your Crusade force. This is some potent pain-bringing venom as it forces units that have a “Feel No Pain” style save to actually FEEL that pain. Ouch.

Soulshard Grenade

It’s a grenade made from spirit stones. Throw this one at a target unit and cause mortal wounds on a 6+ and if they are Psykers, add +1 to each roll. Brutal.
