Warhammer 40K: Mission Pack Plague Purge Preview
The Book of Rust has all the details on War Zone Charadon and the new Mission Pack Plague Purge has 24 missions to use with it.
If you’re looking for more action in War Zone Charadon, then the Plague Purge Mission Pack is for you. Today, Games Workshop is showing off some of the features coming in the pack.

“That’s right – an entire Crusade Mission Pack designed to immerse your battles in the setting of War Zone Charadon, complete with 24 exclusive missions, as well as dozens of bespoke Agendas, Requisitions, and Stratagems.”
No matter what mission size you’re playing at you’ve got 6 missions to engage with. That should provide lots of variety to your games especially as you’re building and playing with a Crusade Force. While these missions might sound like they are for Death Guard or Adeptus Mechanicus, any factions fighting in War Zone Charadon can use these missions.
“For starters, the Charadon Sector had already been suffering from the piratical raids of the Drukhari (led by Lelith Hesperax, no less!), and the vast Ork empire of Snagrod, the infamous Arch-Arsonist, is also an ever-present threat to the region. Meanwhile, the Akannazad Dynasty has been inexorably encroaching upon the Charadon Sector’s borders as more and more of the Necrons reawaken to join their ranks.”
That’s quite a list of “Who’s who” fighting in the sector! Don’t be afraid to mix it up with your own Crusade Force, too.
Extra Goodies
As mentioned above, there are also Agendas, Requisitions, and Stratagems. Let’s take a look at a few of those next.
Turn those Battle Scars into marks of honor – or at least a way to score some extra XP for your forces. This is a great way to advance those units into veterans even faster. Hey, they paid the price now they can at least get a boost while they are earning XP.
In terms of Stratagems, there are 12 more to use in the book. These are utilized while using the Plague Purge missions and are split between the Recon and Assault specializations. So keep these in mind and in your back pocket when you’re playing these particular games. They can be quite handy.
When you REALLY need to use an action but the enemy is just causing problems you can spend 2 CP to ensure your unit gets the job done.
This is another great stratagem to use when you’re deep in enemy territory and you want to make a big impact. Those extra attacks can really add-up for an assaulting unit.
