MTG: Secret Lair Leaks Spotted In Magic Online – Shock Lands And Mystical Archive Inbound?
It seems two new secret lair drops have been spotted in the Magic Online client after an update. Get ready for Shock Lands and Mystical Archive.
A recent update to the Magic Online client may have inadvertently revealed upcoming Secret Lair plans, as two different sets of cards have been unearthed that indicate a new spate of Mystical Archive themed cards, as well as a return to Shock Lands. Let’s take a look:
First up, Mystical Archive–ordinarily a fairly new set of 63 different cards, famous instants and sorceries from throughout Magic’s history–and for this secret lair, we’re seeing All Is Dust, Artifact Mutation, Drown in the Loch, Fire Covenant, Fractured Identity, and Fracturing Gust all seem to be featured.

Fractured Identity is a big one for folks looking to fill out their collections with a foil variant, if all this proves to be true, since otherwise Fractured Identity has only been in print in Commander. Now for the other set–a return of shock lands with unique art that indicates another Secret Lair drop soon.
This latter one has many wondering if an Ultimate Secret Lair drop might be coming soon, similar to the pathway and fetch lands sets we’ve seen before.

With quite the collection showing off what seems to be various planes–take note of the Nicol Bolas horn style of the Godless Shrine art, collectors have a lot to look forward to:
- Blood Crypt
- Breeding Pool
- Godless Shrine
- Hallowed Fountain
- Overgrown Tomb
- Sacred Foundry
- Steam Vents
- Stomping Ground
- Temple Garden
- Watery Grave
We’ll hopefully be able to confirm whether or not these are indeed Secret Lair drops soon enough. In the meantime, though, we’ll simply have to wait and see.
What other Mystical Archive cards would you want to see return in a Secret Lair set?
