Warhammer 40K: Sisters of Battle On Crusade – Rules Preview
It wouldn’t be a new codex without a bucket load of new Crusade rules to play with! So let’s see what the Adepta Sororitas are packing in this preview.
This weekend the Sisters of Battle have a new codex up for pre-order. Players will get to read all about the history and lore of these faithful sisters and their campaigns against the enemies of the Emperor. If those stories inspire you to take up the mantle, you can also go on a campaign with the Sisters – that’s thanks to the new Crusade rules that we’re getting a look at today. Let’s dive on in.
A Saint Potentia
“By marking one of your Characters as a Saint Potentia, they can embark upon several different trials in an attempt to earn their place among the Emperor’s most powerful servants.”
After you nominate one of your characters as a Saint Potentia, you’ll want to track how they do in battle using the Trial of Faith. Each time they complete one of these saintly deeds, they get Saint points. When they accumulate 10, they get complete the trial and gain “a powerful ability.”
There are five trials to complete. If you do manage to complete all five trials then your Saint Potentia is now a Living Saint! But be aware, even with some amazing abilities, that doesn’t make them immortal – that makes them potential martyrs.
Whoops. It’s not a sacrifice you want to make lightly…
Crusade Requisitions And Relics
On top of these unique Living Saint rules, you army will also get access to a bunch of Crusade goodies like Requisitions and Relics to improve your army. Check out a pair of Battle Traits they can earn:

That Praesidium Rosarius is looking mighty powerful. A 4++ and a 4+ “Feel No Pain” save on top? Good luck getting through that.
The Adepta Sororitas also have access to some new Crusade Agendas as well. These will allow them to grow in power by scoring some extra Experience Points.
So there you have it. These new Crusade rules are coming soon. And these were just the tip of the spear – there’s plenty more in the upcoming codex. The Adepta Sororitas are gearing up for a crusade of epic proportions!
