That Time Spider-Man Challenged The Witcher To A Game Of Warhammer 40,000
Yep, it happened. And we’re not talking about a comic book crossover either.
Henry Cavill is the Warhammer 40,000 Hero we all need. Recently, he was on the Graham Norton Show talking about his latest projects related to The Witcher season 2 and the discussion of Warhammer 40,000 came up. We all know that he’s a bit of a 40k fan and paints his Custodes up. It just so happened that the cast from Spider-Man: No Way Home was also there. And then this happened:

If you skipped to the last 0:50 seconds of the clip, you can hear Graham ask if he has people over to play. Cavill Responds, “Yeah.” To which Tom Holland quickly responds, “Can I come over and play?” And Cavill responds with an enthusiastic, “You can!”
Maybe that wasn’t a challenge so much as an invitation but either way…YESSSSS!
Look, I think this needs to happen. But more importantly, this should probably happen somewhere that’s neutral ground. Somewhere that neither player can claim an unfair advantage. Somewhere we can stream the whole thing. I offer up the BoLS HQ here in Austin, TX as neutral ground. We’ve got armies, terrain, and everything else they need to play. Spider-man vs the Witcher on the tabletop?! Yes, please.
And as Abe said:
Two Men Enter!
Two Men Leave!
This is a friendly game, not Thunderdome.
And if they can’t make it to Austin, TX — I get it. They are both very busy. But if they are needing an unbiased 3rd third party to help judge, I’m happy to fly out to the UK and help with that, too.
I’d also like to point out that this is probably how that awesome Hollywood D&D club started. This could turn into the Celebrity 40k Club…I’m here for that, too!
Warhammer 40,000 – See, that’s how you make new friends!
