Wizards of the Coast has a new survey out, this time gathering data about feats. Help shape the next evolution of D&D with this survey.

WotC wants to know what YOU think of D&D feats in their latest survey. As the road to the next evolution of D&D continues on, WotC continues to roll out more surveys taking aim at the core assumptions of the game.

So far we’ve seen class features, settings, and spells. Now WotC’s survey on feats is here, and with your help they’ll shape the future of D&D circa 2024.

Feats are in an interesting place right now, because depending on where you look in the D&D community, they’re either some flavorful fun or essential to a character. To one group, there are only a handful feats that matter: Great Weapon Mastery, Sharpshooter, Polearm Mastery, Crossbow Expert, and maybe Sentinel. To another, they might be interesting chunks of mechanics.

Either way, WotC wants your take on Feats in this survey. The first question has likely shifted since the last time they asked it– do you use feats in the game?

Over two years we saw the number jump to the point where more than half of players (playing D&D online) were using feats. Which is a pretty significant chunk for an optional rule.

In WotC’s Feat survey, they ask about the player’s satisfaction with each feat in turn. From Alert to Weapon Mastery, they’re all there.

Though that seems to be the only metric so far. Whether you’re very dissatisfied or very satisfied, you can let them know.

Or you can give them your thoughts. If you’ve ever longed for Feats to just be a part of character progression in addition to standard ability score increases, or if you pine for the variety of feats from 4th Edition, now’s your chance to tell them.
