The past and present collide when Peacemaker finally goes head-to-head with his racist dickbag of a dad, the White Dragon.

Last week, Peacemaker was declared the world’s most wanted. The whole police department has been taken over by butterflies thanks to Goff. Things are looking rough for Christopher Smith and his team. With the last episode before the finale, Peacemaker is back and ready to kick some ass.

This is mostly spoilers for ‘Peacemaker’ ep. 7, probably a few swear words, and a bad joke or two. Sorry/not sorry!

Fuck You, Dad!

When we last left Auggie, he was rousing all of his white supremacist friends to kill Peacemaker. In an early-episode flashback, we learn that Auggie made a young Chris and his brother Keith fight each other for money. Based on Auggie’s heckling, Chris is clearly behind in the fight. But after he lands a hit to his brother, Keith starts to seize. He dies, and Auggie then and forever blames Chris.

Back to the present, Auggie uses trackers in the Peacemaker helmets to get a bead on Chris’ location. He and his gang of white-hood wearing followers close in on Chris, Vigilante, and Economos.

During the fight, Vigilante sets off a bomb so Chris can escape. Meanwhile, Chris ties his helmet to an adorable little trash panda, sending it scampering through the woods. Our heroes use this borrowed time to reconvene.

But Auggie is quick to catch up with them. And this awful motherfucker punches Eagley. Yeah, that’s right, just process that anger for a moment. Chris is rightly horrified, and he comes for Auggie. But we can see his conflict bubbling to the surface. Auggie is, after all, his dad.

But at the end of the day, Peacemaker is able to pull the trigger when it really matters. Economos turns the rest of the white supremacists into confetti. And after Vigilante takes out the White Dragon suit’s blasters by using his clever observational skills, Peacemaker shoots his father right in the face.

Goodbye to Murn

While three of the guys are out welcoming Peacemaker to the Dead Dad Club, Harcourt, Leota, and Murn are scrambling to recover from the big press conference. Harcourt barges into Leota’s room, confronting her about planting the diary.

Leota admits that Amanda Waller is her mom. Murn calls and tells the girls to GTFO, telling them that he knew Leota was a Waller-baby. Just as Harcourt and Leota are vacating their hotel rooms, they see the Butterfly-police bust into Murn’s room and gun him down.

Murn’s human body is very dead, and Goff, wearing Detective Song’s body like a green-man suit, squishes Murn’s butterfly to very-nearly dead. Leota and Harcourt are able to be there for his last moments, and it really is a tearjerker.

The gang reconnects at a vet clinic, where Peacemaker demands that they fix an injured Eagley. A good superhero story usually needs some kind of miracle, and Eagley’s recuperation (and his hug) is the divine moment that the audience and Leota needed.

I’ll be honest, there’s a lot of ugly in the world. I don’t know if I could have handled the loss of Eagley.

The team gets together and decides that Harcourt is the HBIC. She rallies the troops and lays out a plan to take out the Cow, a giant creature the Butterflies are milking for a food source. Considering DC’s handling of Starro, I’m imagining that this Cow isn’t too comfortable with the arrangement.

Peacemaker Ep 7 Highlights

Vigilante, as always, continues to knock out the most memorable one-liners. From “I can’t pee when clothes are touching my butt” to the awkward tap he gives Peacemaker as he mourns the death of his father, I cannot even with this precious babe. I want to pinch all his cheeks.

The vet techs attempting to suit up for the fight really illustrates just how on-board we are with how much ass this team is about to kick. But they should have been allowed to fight– I mean, we all know vets are the real heroes, people.

Judomaster is back, and it’s safe to assume this glorious fucker isn’t going away. Harcourt vs. Judomaster was the fight scene I didn’t know I needed, but it pumped pure kerosene through my veins.

When the gas station attendant gave Judomaster the thumbs up for taking out a couple of douchebags, I felt that sentiment. I can’t wait to see how Judomaster plays into the season finale next week.

Catch up on ‘Peacemaker’ in time for next week’s season finale– streaming exclusively on HBO Max.
