Modiphius and Supernova Capital partnered together with other tabletop companies to launch Rollvs.Evil, a new org. helping gamers do good.

Rollvs.Evil asks the question, “why fight evil on the tabletop if you don’t fight it in the real world?” The new charity organization, launched by Modiphius co-founders Chris and Rita Birch, aims to help gamers support organizations battling real-world evils. And the whole thing kicks off with a massive Roll20 stream on Friday. They then follow up with a big giving event on Saturday. Both will help benefit needy folk in Ukraine. Check out the full details below.

Rollvs.Evil – March 25th and 26th, benefitting Ukraine

RollVsEvil, a newly formed non-profit, along with multiple tabletop industry partners are pleased to announce the new RollVsEvil initiative, created by a group of tabletop RPG and boardgame companies to give gaming communities a way to do what they love (playing games) while supporting frontline charitable efforts to battle real-world evil! These efforts will support small groups and charities working directly on the ground where donors can see verifiable immediate results and know that they are changing lives.

RollVsEvil’s first campaign is in support of people suffering from the invasion of Ukraine, with the first of many RollVsEvil gaming events starting this coming weekend, and up to £100,000 / $130,000 in funds will also be matched by Supernova Capital & Partners.

To celebrate the launch of RollVsEvil, Roll20.net will be streaming a special charity stream on March 25 at 8 PM EDT with GM  Anthony Joyce-Rivera and players from TransplanarRPG. The group will be playing a 2-hour session of The Monster of Wonderia.

Their launch event kicks off March 25th, but the meat of the action is March 26th. For the first event, Rollvs.Evil wants to “keep things simple”. Gamers have the option to play a game either online or in person. Those choosing to play online have some extra goodies available on Roll20 in the form of a free bundle:

“Use code VJMNX-R911F-G1EWY on the Roll20 Marketplace to unlock some free bonus content for your games. This code is active until April 26th.”
