‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Review – One of Us
Michelle Yeoh stars in a different kind of multiverse movie. Join the One of Us crew for their Everything Everywhere All At Once review.
Oh my god, how do you even get started describing a movie like this one? At least without spoiling any of the wonderful surprises in store? Fortunately, there are so many surprises and weirdnesses and delights to be found in Everything Everywhere All At Once, the latest film by the two Daniels (Swiss Army Man) that there’s no way we could mess it all up for you even if that was what we were trying to do.
The story follows Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) and her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) who run a laundromat, are having marital difficulties, and have to go deal with an unforgiving tax woman (Jamie Lee Curtis) that wants to take away their business. When suddenly, something happens that plunges Evelyn into a war across the multiverses and a battle for the heart of her own family. Every version of her family.
Everything Everywhere All At Once Review
With influences from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to Kung-Fu Hustle and probably everything in between, Wright and Chris downright thought this was a work of insane genius that they look forward to rewatching many times. Its brand of madness is not going to be everyone’s cup of LSD, but it sure was ours.
