Dog From ‘After Life’ Antilly is in the D&D Movie
Antilly, the German Shepherd Stunt Dog perhaps best known for her role in Netflix’ After Life plays a critical role in the upcoming D&D movie. What a sentence.
From playing alongside Ricky Gervais to running through Dungeons & Dragons, Antilly the German Shepherd has quite the career. Fans of Netflix’ show After Life will recognize Antilly as Brandy, the furred friend who gives Ricky Gervais’ Tony Johnson something to live for after losing his wife.
And now, according to a report from the Daily Star, it seems Antilly will continue her film career in some rather high-profile projects, including BBC’s Sherwood, Netflix’ Treason, and as mentioned, the D&D movie.
But Antilly is no stranger to the big screen. She’s worked with among the best through the years, playing a variety of roles. She’s worked alongside Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow. Been on set with Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler in London Has Fallen. Through the years, she’s played everything from soldier dogs, to bomb squad dogs, to police dogs of all stripes.
But her new role in After Life means big things for the good girl. According to the Daily Star, Antilly was most recently in Belfast last year. There she shot scenes with Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez. So if you make your way to the D&D movie to see if they can actually pull it off, you’re guaranteed at least one bright spot when Antilly takes the screen.
The movie also features human stars. The cast includes Chris Pine, Regé-Jean Page, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and Chloe Coleman. So you’re probably in for a good time. The movie’s directors, Jonathan Goldman and John Francis-Daley, are adept at comedies, so here’s hoping. But if nothing else, there’s always a good girl going on an adventure. The D&D Movie launches March 2023.
