‘Aquateen Hunger Force’ – Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake Are Back
The Aquateen Hunger Force and their annoying enemies are back in a daily series called Aquadonk Side Pieces.
The Space Ghost Coast to Coast spin-off Adult Swim comedy premiered in 2000 and aired for over eleven seasons on Adult Swim. The show is one of the elder statesmen of the existing line-up – only Robot Chicken has been around longer. Aquateen Hunger Force went through rebranding before calling it quits with “The Greatest Story Ever Told” in 2015. There’s also an ATHF movie.
The extremely surreal show focuses on three fast food-shaped roommates – Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake – and their adventures. They also constantly annoy their neighbor Carl with their shenanigans. It’s weird and makes no sense most of the time. The early aughts were like that, though. People wore ultra low rise jeans, trucker hats, and velour jogging suits to formal occasions. Don’t ask.
Aqua something, you know whatever…

The new shorts bring back Carey Means, Dana Snyder, and Dave Willis as well as other familiar voices. Plus creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis. In the first episode Carl begs Frylock for help after Handbanana inserts a tracking chip in his neck. Carl always knew how evil the oddly shaped, genetically created dog could be – and that he was out to get him.
New episodes (ten in total) will drop every day at 12:00 p.m. EDT on the official Adult Swim YouTube channel. The series will be followed up with an Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie sequel this summer on HBOMax. The streaming service has all eleven seasons right now.
