D&D: Dimension 20’s ‘Coffin Run’ Brings 5E to Dracula’s Castle
Dimension 20’s latest series, Coffin Run premieres next week. It’s going to be a fangtastic adventure in Dracula’s Castle. Check it out.
Dimension 20 is back with their next season. And this time it’s oops all Draculas. Last week, Dimension 20 announced Coffin Run. An all-new series featuring a cast of familiar faces with a new DM. This 6-part adventure will take you deep into the heart of 19th century Transylvania, and it looks like everything you’d want out of a spooky 5E game.
Grab your garlic and let’s go see what’s at stake.
Dimension 20: Coffin Run
The Tagline for this series is “Go ahead, take a bite.” Which should help set the tone for things to come. In this fangtastic series, DM Jasmine Bhullar, new to Dimension 20 — but whom readers might recognize from various D&D Streams, including The Battle For Beyond and Shikar.
As you can see in the artwork though, it also features Erika Ishii, Zac Oyama, Carlos Luna, and Isabella Roland. Each will be playing one of the followers of Dracula:
- Dracula’s first sired vampire
- A mad scientist
- A vampire bride
- A vampire wannabe
And while the whole campaign uses the D&D 5th Edition rules, the setting is a new one. And yet it’s also gothically ancient. Older than Ravenloft, it takes place in 19th century Transylvania. Where Dracula hangs out. The cast will make the titular coffin run after Dracula’s train gets attacked.
It also features the well-sculpted minis and incredibly designed sets that the pre-covid seasons of Dimension 20 were known for. Which made me weirdly emotional, but that’s neither here nor there. Regardless, you should check out the series when it premieres on June 8th at Dropout.tv
Curious as to why you should watch Dimension 20? You can catch all of their first season Fantasy High on YouTube. The series alone is worth the Dropout subscription. Humor and heart, and some surprisingly robust combats await.
Happy Adventuring!
