New Look at ‘Bullet Train’ – Brad Pitt Stays Chill Even in a Fight
Brad Pitt is trying his best to survive and stay chill in this new look at Bullet Train.
The movie is based on Maria Beetle, a novel by Kōtarō Isaka. A trained killer who is on his way out gets pulled back in by his handler for one more job. He has to obtain briefcase on a bullet train heading from Tokyo to Morioka that has very few stops along the way. Once he’s on board he discovers this mission is more complicated and there are other competing assassins on the trip with him.
It’s got a John Wick vibe (any hard-hitting, close combat movie is going to have that now) with some Kill Bill and Ocean’s 11 mixed in. It’s violent but fun and colorful. The characters are outlandish and goofy while still being effective. The constant hallway fight on the train is hopefully going to make them get creative with choreography. As an action junkie, I’m looking forward to this one.

This new TV spot features more of Ladybug’s zen, surfer guy, The Dude like attitude. I could totally see him saying “All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine.” while trying to exit a fight. Check out the new look at Bullet Train…

Getting back on the job is never as easy as you think… especially with the world’s deadliest assassins on board. An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan.
The cast is led by Brad Pitt and includes a list of big names like Michael Shannon and Hiroyuki Sanada. As well as Sandra Bullock, Zazie Beetz, and Brian Tyree Henry. It’s directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Nobody, Atomic Blonde) from a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz.
Bullet Train arrives exclusively in movie theaters on August 5th.
