Necromunda: Ironhead Squat Prospector Rules
The Ironhead Squat Prospects pack some serious heat on Necromunda. Check out what they can do!
These Squats never left Necromunda. They arrived on the planet for a clean-up job post-Horus Heresy and they never left. They aren’t a part of the Leagues of Votann as they are distant kin. It’s been a few millennia since the Ironhead Mining clans arrived and they’ve been doing their thing out in the Ash Wastes. And doing it well.
“No-one knows quite how many Squats make their home on Necromunda – there are dozens of clans living a semi-nomadic life in great land trains, striking out across the ash wastes in search of valuable debris left by millennia of industry. These great, crawling cities will plunder a dig site for months or years until its riches are depleted, while gangs of Ironhead Squat Prospectors guard the excavation sites or set off into the wastes in search of further loot.”
Man…now I really hope we get a Land Train model. ANYHOW, let’s dive into their rules and wargear!
Ironhead Squat Rules
First up we have the Charter Masters. These are the de facto Leaders of the Ironhead Gangs. They have the stats to prove it, too! They will have access to Leadership, Brawn, and Shooting for their primary skills and also have Wisdom of the Ancients as their secondary.
Take note of that BS of 3+ because they have access to some serious firepower. Their gear is good enough to make the Van Saar jealous.
Yeah. That Boltgun is nasty…but how about a rapid fire meltagun?! Yikes. I have a feeling these weapons might also be a preview of some of things you can expect from the Leagues of Votann weapons — distant kin or not. Oh and this is just the tip of the Squat Iceberg. They have more special wargear like a Power Pack that allows them to rock weapons hands-free!
Backing up the Charter Masters are the Drill Masters. These champions help keep the rest of the crew in line. They have access to a wide array of options and also has Wisdom of the Ancients, too.
The rank-and-file crew are known as Drill-kyn while the juves are called Diggers. That’s all good to know. Oh and one more thing all of these Squats come standard with a Toughness of 4! That’s going to make them one tough gang to crack.
The Ironhead Prospectors also have one more thing to throw at their enemies. The Vartijan Exo-Driller! It wouldn’t be Squats without an exo-suit and this thing is mean.
It might run you 250 credits but it comes ready to get work done.
“This mobile weapons platform is equipped with a sensor suite to improve visibility out in the wastes, a seismic crusher for pounding rocks and enemies to dust, and offers a choice of heavy flamer or heavy bolter.”
The Ironhead Squat Prospectors are coming soon as a gang option. There rules will be found in the upcoming Book of the Outlands!
Do you call them Squats or Ironheads? I’m going with Ironheads to be safe.
