  • Deathwatch
  • Adeptus Custodes
  • Adeptus Mechanicus
  • Drukhari
  • Genestealer Cults
  • Grey Knights
  • Orks
  • Tau Empire
  • Imperial Armour Compendium
  • Psychic Awakening: The Greater Good (how is this book still legal!!!)
  • Octarius 1: Rising Tide
  • Core Rulebook

Some Big Standouts

As usual, there’s a whole lot of typos, and minutia, but some rules did make a big change to the game. On a side note, I find it really odd that some chunks of Psychic Awakening soldier on deep into 9th Edition, while others volumes from the series are long gone. Note that these books are out of print. Back to the new rules, here’s three that caught our eye:

Codex Orks

The Update to Freebooterz Competetive Streak is a stealth nerf. It’s is strangely not in magenta text, but it looks new. Overall, it brought down the power of the unit to make our favorite Orky Space Pirates not an auto-include.

Core Rulebook

Cannot be Affected by Psychic Powers: A lot of new clarifications for units with this rule. Interesting. I really like the spicy auto-shutdown of Smite if they are the closest unit. Hello Sisters of Silence!

Obscuring:

This one is convoluted, but is in a long line of mid-edition anti-movement shenanigans rules. This one  shut down some sillyness  that could allow a player to position a unit in terrain in a way to make it unchargable.  Good riddance!Enjoy, happy gaming, and what is your favorite rules change?
