Horus Heresy: Death Guard Upgrade Kits On The Way
The Death Guard have a reputation for getting down and dirty but these new upgrade kits are looking clean! Check out what’s coming from Forge World.
Fans of the Horus Heresy should be thrilled about all the new upgrade packs coming from Forge World. They are making their way through all the Legions and the next one to be revealed is the XIV Legion, aka the Death Guard! They are the Sons of Mortarion and they don’t mind the grime. That said, that doesn’t mean they can’t still look good while marching through toxic waste.
“The Death Guard aren’t anywhere near as showy or vulgar as the Emperor’s Children – they prefer battle damage to badges of honour – but that doesn’t mean they can’t look just as stylish on the battlefield. You’ll soon be able to upgrade your sons of Mortarion with some new resin heads. “
These helmets are quite fitting for the Death Guard. You can see how they went from these designed to eventually becoming what they are in the 40k Era:
I also appreciate the one head without a helmet. Although maybe if he was wearing one he wouldn’t of gotten that lump. Anyhow, it’s not just new heads for the Horus Heresy. There’s also their shoulder pads, too!
These are resin as well and feature the Death Guard logo quite prominently. They are actually larger than what I was expecting but they still look great! Both sets of upgrades are designed to work with the MK VI armor kits. So that’s perfect for all those Beakie Marines that just showed up!
