Age of Sigmar: When You Wish Upon a Nova – 3 Things I Hope We See
They say if you believe enough, and wish with all you might…Games Workshop still won’t listen. But here are three things I’d love to see for the Mortal Realms at Nova, just in case.
The Nova Open is this week, and it promises to be jam-packed with exciting previews, announcements, and release windows for all the Warhammer properties. Whether you’re a fan of the far future, the Great Betrayal, the Realms, or the small-scale fields below Ghur, there’s a little something for everyone showing up this week. While we’ve already touched on our overall hopes for the event, I thought I’d get a little more specific about what I hope to see for Age of Sigmar. This is not an exhaustive list of my deman… I mean, requests, but it covers the top three things I’m really hoping show up on the other side.
The Next Destruction Tome
According to the timeline previewed ages ago, we are owed two Destruction battletomes before the Autumn quarter wraps up. The Order and Chaos tomes that we were promised are the upcoming Tzeentch and Lumineth books, so we’re halfway through our fall army harvest. My hope is for updated Gloomspite and then something new, maybe a beast army that lets you play as the critters of Ghur.
New Tzeentch models
I know that the battletome is on the way soon, but I want more models for my favorite magical bois. Tzeentch is one of the least loved Chaos armies in Age of Sigmar, especially their mortals, and I’d love to see a Hedonites-style redo for them. Not sure what I’d want to see from them. But maybe the Disc-riding Knights from Total War would be cool to mirror the unique cavalry of the other gods.
The Same Thing I Always Want
I’ll stop asking when we get it. But seriously, we’ve had all these lore teases, Lumineth are getting ANOTHER upgrade, and Order is encroaching dangerously close to Malerion’s territory. With all the Chaos aggression, Death ramping up their armies, and Destruction running wild, it’s time for the true lord of Ulgu to rise.
What do you want to see?
