Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘Tall (Fish) Tale’
We’ve got another mystery from the Rumor Engine. This one looks familiar yet strange. Come see for yourself!
It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for a new Rumor Engine. The one today is another interesting one. But before we go too far down that rabbit hole you should see it for yourself.
“How are you all getting to grips with your new Leagues of Votann armies? Nobody could have guessed the Rumour Engine would be revealing the return of the Kin all those months ago – just like nobody will guess what this is:”
So what the heck are we looking at? Well, it could be feathers or a tail of some type. A fan perhaps? I’m not sure! What I do know is that it reminds me a lot of another Rumor Engine from earlier:

Why do I think these are related? Well, the tips of the “quills” have those little dots on them. I think that’s a part of them…which looking at both makes me think these aren’t feathers but fins. And if those are fins…
The Idoneth Deepkin are in play. Or maybe it’s their Shadowy cousins? Based on the teaser text from above and the mention of the Leagues of Votann and how those got revealed but “no one guessed them” I wonder if this tease is for a “new” army. “New” because it could be a revamp of the Dark Elves into a “new” faction like the Leagues are a reimagining of Squats.
I mean, it’s a stretch…but maybe not that far off.
