Age of Sigmar: Slaves To Darkness – More Updated Kits Ahead
Slaves to Darkness are getting more Chaos Warriors, Knights, Champions, and Mounted Lords to take to the field! It’s about time.
The last version of the Slaves to Darkness Start Collecting! Box featured a bunch of great new sculpts for the army. However, that was the only place you could get many of them and GW never really released those models as standalone kits. But that was then. Now, GW is updating many of those options and finally releasing them as standalone options!
“Fancy a taste of power? Perhaps you’re a fan of brass, obsidian, or tasteful spikes? Already have a tentacle or two? Simply swear fealty to the Chaos Gods, and begin mustering your corrupted comrades. The Slaves to Darkness Army Set is coming to pre-order this weekend… but that’s just the start.”
Slaves To Darkness Updated Kits
This is a pretty large update for the model range for the Slaves To Darkness. First up, let’s take a look at the new and improved Chaos Warriors. These will come with hand weapons or halberd options. HALBERD options — finally! In case you didn’t know you could get Halberd options for them back in the day as a separate sprue. But those were direct order only. These options are all included in the base kit!
“This is a brand new multipart kit with new options, including a choice of hand weapons or halberds, an aspiring champion, a standard bearer, and a musician.”
Chaos Warriors
I’m digging these new poses. Again, GW Managed to combine the imposing look of the older Chaos Warriors with more dynamic poses. Kudos to them on for this update.
Chaos Knights
“Charging into battle on blood-caked hooves, Chaos Knights are ready to make a shish-kebab of the enemy. The knights from the Start Collecting! Slaves to Darkness box will get a standalone release, with a new command retinue frame. There is also the option of an ensorcelled warhammer for their Doom Knight champion.”
These are the Knights from the Start Collecting! Box that are finally getting a standalone release — but with some extras. I’m glad GW is adding an extra sprue for this unit to give folks more options to build them out.
New Exalted Champion
This new multi-part plastic kit looks like it has enough options that you can really mix-and-match to build the champion you want. I like the both the helmet and non-helmet options for the head. I also appreciate the option for the dual hand weapons or sword and board. Maybe you want to change things up and go with the axe and shield. You do you.
New Mounted Chaos Lord
There’s a new Chaos Lord on a Demonic Mount option coming, too. This one has either a hammer or lance option that we can see. Either one’s probably going to be pretty effective.
We’re looking forward to getting ahold of all these new kits and comparing them to their old counterparts. Personally, I’m looking forward to adding some new warriors to my Chaos Army Ranks. Sprinkling the new models in with the old models helps to solidify them as a single fighting force!
What do you think of the new Chaos Warrior/Knight/Champion/Lord kits coming soon for the Slaves To Darkness?
