Necromunda: ‘A Relicmonger, Gun-smyth, And Beastwrangler Walk Into A Hivespire…’
“…Tell me if you’ve heard this one before!” Meet the new batch of Hangers-on coming to Necromunda.
You really can meet all sorts of characters in the back alleys and catwalks of a Necromunda hivespire. Today, we’re getting introduced to 3 new Hangers-on that you can recruit to your gang. You never know who’s going to be helpful so collecting a strange mix of crew members isn’t a bad thing…
“This new kit contains three resin miniatures, consisting of a Relicmonger – a purveyor of dubious religious artefacts, the Gun-smyth, who can unsurprisingly source you anything from a stub pistol to a lascannon, and the Beastwrangler – because you never know when a semi-domesticated sumpkroc might come in handy.”
I do appreciate that Games Workshop is including all three of these miniatures in a single kit. I’m not sure why they just now started doing that with the Hangers-on in Necromunda. Actually, now that I say that, I know why — pricing. Anyhow, let’s meet each of these characters!
Relicmonger
Wielding a maul and some dubious relics of questionable authenticity the Relicmonger is here for your “religious” needs. Bones of a saint? Blessed bolt rounds? Weird skull-faced cherub? Well…he’s got at least one of those.
Gun-smyth
If it weren’t for the questionable spelling of their job title I’d immediately lean towards this Hanger-on out of the batch. They seem like the most “up-and-up” and have a pretty useful skill considering your Gangs line of work. Having someone who can source weapons sure seems like a good hire to me!
Beastwrangler
At least this guy’s got “Style” oozing off him. I’ll fully admit the paint job for this model is doing some WORK but man, this Hanger-on looks like a character! Imagine the stories he could tell! He’s also got a pretty funky menagerie of animals around, too. That could be…fun?
“It’s not just bundles of teeth and muscle that your friendly Beastwrangler can get you either – there are plenty of desirable, and very illegal, creatures roaming Necromunda, such as the Gyrinx Cat, one of which is included. This xenos felid packs a potent psychic punch and can perform the same tricks of the mind as any other psyker, including Pyromancy, Technomancy, and Telepathy.”
Oh…okay, that could be useful. Sometimes good things come in quite colorful packages!
These new Hangers-on can be found in the Book of the Outcast.
