‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Takes Action to the Next Level in New Video
John Wick: Chapter 4 promises to raise the bar for action movies again with bigger fights, faster car chases, and higher stakes.
The fourth chapter picks up after John Wick joins forces with the Bowery King to take down the High Table. Beyond its rules, the organization of assassins has been kept in the shadows until this chapter – including its high-ranking members. The intricacies of the authority structure and who is running the organization will finally be revealed as John fights for his freedom… and his life.
Oh, and there will be action. Lots and lots of action.
Behind the Scenes
Keanu Reeves is known for the time and dedication he puts into action roles; he does most of his own stunts. For this movie, he honed his considerable judo and jiu-jitsu skills with practitioner Dave Camarillo, and he had to beef up his already impressive driving skills. The actor described getting ready for Chapter 4 to Total Film…
John Wick: Chapter 4 was the hardest physical role I’ve ever had in my career so far. They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox. We took the car-driving to the next level, which I really enjoy. There’s 180s, forward-into-reverse 180s, reverse into-forward 270s, drifting… So it was really fun to get a chance to learn those skills, and to play. John Wick: Chapter 4 is our opus. Oh my god, it’s crazy, man! It’s banana cakes!
Reeves isn’t the only one putting in his all. The Wick franchise is built on non-stop action, stunts, and an ever-growing cast of outstanding performers and actors. The supporting cast is consistently packed with the top performers in the business and fight choreographers that create scenes that blow audiences’ minds. Chapter 4 promises to take it to the next level.
