With Phyrexians on the march (of the machine) a new batch of previews showcases everyone left to stand in their way.

It’s a crisis on infinite Magic: the Gatherings with the latest Phyrexian invasion cycle. It looks like whole Planes are getting hit by the Phyrexians and hit hard enough to just get Compleatly taken out. But, all hope is not lost.

There is, per the marketing material, “a spark of hope” left. Because Planeswalkers have their own special Spark, if you somehow didn’t get it. That said, this set does look like it’s going to be real heavy hitting. There are some powerful cards, some returning friends, and here’s a look at the Resistance to the March of the Machine.

March of the Machine Previews – The Resistance

Now this is Frogracing. Thalia and the Gitrog Monster are absolutely incredible. Frog lords for life. Thalia, one of Innistrad’s greatest vampire slayers and the Guardian of Thraben, is riding into battle on the back of the Gitrog Monster. And just like that, all hope has been restored.

Phyrexians don’t stand a chance against this clutch combo. As long as you have enough creatures for the Gitrog Monster to stay fed and happy.

The Frog train keeps rolling down the station, this time with Yargle and Multani, who are here to become an extremely vanilla, extremely stomping creature. Yargle and Multani weigh in at a whopping eighteen power and six toughness, really playing up the green mana.

Katilda and Lier might not be frogs, but we won’t hold that against them. Especially since now you can flashback whatever you want as long as you keep playing Human cards. Normal Humans.

We also see the power of friendship in action with Slimefoot and Squee, who are here to prove that the boys are back in town. And they can keep coming to town every time you sacrifice a Saproling.

Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer is a monkey pirate. He turns your opponent’s cards into treasure tokens and lets you cast them. What more do you need?

And Ghalta and Maven, a dinosaur vampire that comes in swinging. A 12/12 for 7 that does nothing but good things whenever you attack. Whether that’s creating more creatures or more vampires, it’s pretty wild.

Speaking of Vampires, Drana and Linvala are here to show you that teamwork is truly the greatest power. And they have all your opponent’s cards’ powers.

The last of our legendary team ups: Goro-Goro and Satorou, who are here to prove that the best kind of ninja is the kind of ninja that is also a 5/5 red Dragon Spirit creature token with flying.

All this in March of the Machines
