Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘Talk To The Hand’
Oh wow, that’s a 90’s reference. Anyhow, let’s see what this new Rumor Engine is all about from Games Workshop.
It’s another Tuesday and that means it’s time for a new Rumor Engine from GW. This week’s is another pretty clear object. We know what it is, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a mystery behind it. See for yourself.
“A truthful little peek behind the curtains here at Warhammer Community. We galley slaves bound within the great sky-trireme that oars its way through the toxic clouds hanging pallidly in the blackened skies above Nottingham don’t usually get to see the Rumour Engine images. Instead, we are called upon by our faceless masters to blindly etch our runed witticisms in blood across the splintered walls of our hateful cells, only guessing at the distant treasures on display.
This time it’s different – the blessed reprographitects have got here before us for once, and we are at last permitted to riff for gruel on an actual picture! Results below… “
Give Them A Hand
Normally the text before the Rumor Engine is just a joke or some other reference, but this one has a tinge of truth there. It’s sort of comforting to know that whomever GW has working on the Rumor Engine used to just have to write their bit and then slap in the Rumor Engine picture and go with the flow. This time, it appears that person has gotten to look at the image before having to write their bit. It’s just a nice bit of “behind the scenes” info.
Anyhow, on to the guessing! My first guess is some sort of Psyker or Wizard casting a spell. We’ve seen the “open hand” pose before and it’s used in both 40k and AoS.
But the type of glove really makes me think of Lumineth Realm-lords for some reason.
Maybe it’s just the frilliness of the sleeves. The glove is pretty much one big piece. But, as mentioned, it could be something from 40k, too. This hand might be obvious but who it belongs to is clearly not. That’s where you come in! If you’ve got a guess we’d love to see it in the comments.
