Goatboy’s Warhammer 40K Hot Mess – Corpuscarii Electro-Priests
The Ad Mech Corpuscarii Electro-Priests were fully invested electric bros – but they really need a recharge. Let’s rethink how they could be good again!
I remember seeing this Adeptus Mechanicus model and thinking it looked a bit different from normal GW-style models. I thought the idea of fully invested electric bros was a cool idea, and while they had a small time in the son in the edition they initially came out in they have really fallen to the wayside lately.
Corpuscarii Electro-Priests were supposed to be fanatic worshipers of electricity. Instead of just pure mechanical updates, they loved the power flowing thru their bodies and arching into the enemy. Or something like that right? They just love getting shocked all day like some kind of weird dude hanging out in a dingy dank club surrounded by car batteries.
First, Let’s Amp Up Some Protection
Let’s move their Invulnerable save to a 4+. They have strange energies arching through them, so they should definitely have a better form of protection that isn’t just a 5+ Inv mixed with a 5+ FNP. Their FNP should stay as well as the energy stitches them back together, or they ignore the pain they get given by the enemy.
Next, Some Kind of Cool Arc System
I imagine Corpuscarii Electro-Priests could use some kind of cool arcing power that basically allows them to increase the damage as more units invest their energy into the enemy. This concept could be something like the first unit gets its normal AP-1, the second getting AP-2|S+1, and the third would get an AP-3|s+2. This way, it would be investing their energy and helping their brothers charge up as they get closer in.
Let Corpuscarii Electro-Priests Explode In Death!
How about they exploded in a shower of electric damage as they die? Their final breath explodes out in sparks and causes Mortal wounds to the enemy? Having each model do some damage as they eat it would be a cool way to show how fanatical they really are.
Make ‘em Cool!
This model looks cool and should be cool. A fanatic of electricity sounds ripe for a cool weird 40K model and these models should do that. Heck their name is totally rad as Corpuscarii Electro-Priests just sounds weird. Like some kind of creepy horror monster that you have to deal with when you reach their level and deal with their electric madness.
