3-2-1 Lets Jam With This ‘Cowboy Bebop’ Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay
The first rule of combat is to shoot them before they shoot you- and the same goes for creating a Faye Valentine closet cosplay!
The myth, the legend… The vivacious Faye Valentine! Cowboy Bebop is one of the best-loved animes of my generation. (Despite the recent Netflix show that received such mixed reviews). We’ve covered Faye Valentine cosplays before, and this week we’re back to prepare you to take on the role of this roguish vixen!
Cowboy Bebop has arguably the most recognizable, most loved theme song in the ‘Verse. The show has the same panache as Firefly, and Fay Valentine is one of the top-searched cosplay characters in existence. We’re all about giving people what they want, so we’ve created an easy-to-access list of base items for YOU to build a Faye Valentine closet cosplay!
Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay: The Top
Faye rocks a yellow, collared, tank top in the series. This is a tough item to find off the rack, so concessions have to be made unless you magically have something like this in your closet. To find something that looks similar, go for a yellow or khaki crop top, preferably with a collar or buttons. Good luck finding something PERFECT, but you’re going to layer this anyways.
Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay: The Shorts
The point here is that whatever style or color you go with, match your top to your shorts. Faye rocks a monochromatic look in her top and bottoms, so do your best to make those match and the rest is just details.
Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay: The Jacket
Over her outfit, Faye rocks a red button-down. You can go with a jacket or an oversized shirt… whatever you have on hand that gives a pop of color and has sleeves long enough to tie around your waist.
Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay: The Stockings
Faye goes for the sexy, sassy juxtaposition with her look. To add details, go for the thigh-high stockings. Whether you go nude, black, or some other light color, rock what you got.
Faye Valentine Closet Cosplay: The Boots
If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a thousand times- boots should be a staple in your wardrobe. And above all, they should be COMFORTABLE. I prefer a bit of platform to my heel, so I found these online. But as with most cosplays, most people won’t notice your shoes. So wear what’s comfortable if you’re going for closet cosplay. If you want to be extra, buy something cute like these blue platform boots.
Oh hey! BoLS might make a little dolla-dolla if you decide to buy these items. We need that money to buy delicious ice cream sundaes, so any clicks you throw at us are greatly appreciated!
