‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ – Sylvester Stallone Returns in New Trailer
The latest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer wants to be about the crew’s last adventure, but Sylvester Stallone and Nathan Fillion are the real stars.
The new trailer calls back to the previous movies, telling the crew’s story and reminding us that this is their final tour. It’s not all sad and emotional. It offers up action-packed, color-soaked footage of the adventure that’s to come. That includes a quick look at Sylvester Stallone’s return as Stakar Ogord and Nathan Fillion’s live-action debut (he had a voice cameo in Vol. 1 as one of the prison inmates).
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Cast & Crew
James Gunn is back in the director’s chair; he wrote the script based on the comics from Dan Abnett. The case sees the return of Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha. Also joining the film is Maria Balakova as Cosmo the Space Dog, Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, and Chukwudi Iwuji as The High Evolutionary.
The movie’s story is still under wraps, but we know that this will close the trilogy that Gunn is doing for Marvel Studios. Rocket looks to be going back to his roots and confronting The High Evolutionary, the man that created him. And then there’s the unfinished business with Ayesha and The Sovereign. There’s a lot going on in this final chapter.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5th.
