‘Insidious: The Red Door’ – Dalton is Forced to Face His Demons in First Trailer
The Lambert family falls back into The Further in Insidious: The Red Door. Can they escape?
Insidious was created by famed horror director James Wan; the first chapter came out in 2010. The movies are connected by a spiritual realm called The Further, which is inhabited by demonic spirits that attach themselves to psychically sensitive people. Victims are used as gateways, allowing the spirits to take corporeal form and attack. These demons’ only goal is to take the lives of those they haunt. The families of these victims have only one place to turn – demonologist and medium Elise Rainier.
If you like jump-scares and non-stop terror, this is the franchise for you.
Insidious: The Red Door
The story shifts to the Lambert family in the fifth installment of the franchise – we haven’t seen them since 2013’s Insidious: Chapter 2. Dalton and Josh chose to suppress their memories to try to stop them from astral projecting into The Further entirely. The Red Door takes place a decade later. Dalton has to deal with his abilities as he leaves home for college, where he meets new people and starts having terrifying dreams after he attends an art class. It becomes clear that the suppression didn’t work, and The Further is creeping back into the Lamberts’ lives.
