Warhammer 40K: World Eaters Combat Patrol Pricing Breakdown
The World Eaters are finally getting the Combat Patrol box released. How much of a deal will this one turn out to be? Let’s break it down!
It’s been a hot minute since this Combat Patrol was announced back in January. But it’s coming soon and since we know what’s in the box as well as the Combat Patrol standardized pricing of (now) $160, we can make a fairly educated guess as to what the value of this box will be. So let’s crunch some numbers and figure out this pricing breakdown.
World Eaters Combat Patrol Pricing Breakdown
Contents
World Eaters Lord On Juggernaut $65
20x Khorne Berzerkers ($65 for 10) = $130
10x Jakhals $55
Total Individual MSRP: $250
Total Savings (based on $160 price point) = $90
As you can see this one will save you almost $100 vs buying each kit individually. If you’re looking to start a World Eaters army this box is a BUNCH of Berzerkers very quickly. Based on the contents I’d normally say this would be a Repeat rating from me. That means buying more than one is a good call if you’re not familiar with my rating system of Repeat, Peat, or No-Peat.
The catch this time is that we’re kind of in a weird spot. 10th Edition is coming soon and list building is changing. So, while this Combat Patrol should still be fieldable in 10th, will two copies still be a good option? That’s the real question. That said, if I was looking to start a brand new World Eaters list, I still think two boxes at this much of a discount would be a good start.
You’ll have 40 Berzerkers, 20 Jakhals, and 2 Lords on Juggernaut which you can alternatively build as a Lord Invocatus. That should put you in a really good spot on core units at that point and you can then start to add whatever you need. Based on the rules we’ve seen so far for 10th, a transport or two of some type would be a good call. Angron and Kharn would both be two more options I’d look at adding just in terms of a World Eater’s collection, too.
The point is that this box is currently a pretty good deal and a great starting point for the army as you’re getting a lot of “meat and potatoes” in the box. It’s not entirely specialized (other than, ya know, being World Eaters) so you have room to put your own spin on things with this one.
What would you look at for expanding this Combat Patrol into a full sized 2000 point list?
