Can’t find a dice tower you like? Build your own! These four LEGO dice towers bring something different to the table.

Self-Loading LEGO Dice Tower

This brick-built self-loading dice tower makes it easy to re-roll those missed check rolls. Just press the lever on the side, and that horrible roll is replaced with a new, maybe not-so-horrible one. You can also be lame and drop the dice down the top.

MOC designer Steven Patton is offering the instructions for free; you just have to buy the required 316 parts. The tower can be built in several different colors with some simple part substitutions, as well. You can snag the instructions here and the parts list here. The average cost is about $50, depending on where you order from. You might want to dig through that big bin of random bricks hanging around your house first.

Drawbridge Style Brick Built Dice Tower

This 253-piece tower looks like it would fit perfectly with LEGO’s Lions Knight Castle. It features a raising and lowering drawbridge, coat of arms, and parts with stone deco.  You can download the instructions for free and get the part list here. This one is on the pricier side if you go with the exact parts – those castle wall pieces aren’t common.

Simple Brick Built Dice Tower

This design keeps it visually clean and simple – drop the dice in, and they land on a checkerboard tray for easy reading. The interior is where this 506-piece design stands apart. The three-part tower with teeth ensures a random role every time. Get the instructions here and the part list here.

EV3 Dice Roller

Do you have some Mindstorms parts lying around and need a way to roll dice? This 153-piece EV3 dice roller uses large servo motors to shake and roll the dice. Touch sensors reset the system for the next roll. This one takes a little programming, but the designer has made it easy. You can get the code here, the parts list here, and the plans here.
