‘Coyote & Crow’ & ‘Agents of Dune’ RPGs Win Big at Origins Awards
The 2023 Origins Awards have been awarded, and both Coyote & Crow and Agents of Dune win big for RPGs. Here are the winners.
As the 2023 Origins Game Fair winds down, the winners of the Origins Awards have been announced. This year, tabletop RPGs had a pretty good showing, with critical darling Coyote & Crow joining Agents of Dune in topping the RPG charts.
Along with the Origins Awards, this year also saw some tabletop love for the new inductees into the GAMA Hall of Fame, which included Jeff Easley, whose work on both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: the Gathering are widely appreciated. Even if you don’t know you’ve seen his work, you’ve seen his work.
That said, let’s take a look at the winners of this year’s Origins Awards.

This year both Coyote & Crow and Agents of Dune walked away with Origins Awards for their RPG excellence. Coyote & Crow imagines a world “where colonization never happened, and Indigenous nations rose to future prominence.” Its mix of fantasy and sci-fi makes it a game that is intensely satisfying to play through. Using a d12-based system, the world and mechanics play extremely well together.
Agents of Dune is a campaign supplement for Modiphius’ Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, that guides players through a family taking center stage on the planet Arrakis as they try and ensure that Spice production keeps going the way it should.
Congratulations to the winners!
