Can you survive the first 5 Nights at Freddy’s trailer?

Based on the true horrors of the 1980s – I’m looking at you Billy Bob Brockoli – 5 Nights at Freddy’s challenges players to survive a haunted family center. After nearly a decade of terrifying those that dare play it, the hit horror game is finally making it to the big screen this Halloween. Complete with full-sized animatronics created and operated by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

In the 5 Nights at Freddy’s movie, Mike Schmidt is hired as a night guard. He’s tasked to watch over a closed family restaurant called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The place is filled with run-down games, a dining room with faded plastic booths, and some broken animatronic animals. It’s creepy even without knowing what the place really hides. The job starts off normal, boring even. But it’s going to get so much worse…

Five Nights at Freddy’s Cast & Details

The cast is led by Josh Hutcherson (known for playing Peeta in The Hunger Games). He’s joined by Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Mary Stuart Masterson. The movie is directed by Emma Tammi from a script she wrote with game creator Scott Cawthon.

Can you survive five nights? The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen. The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

Five Nights at Freddy’s hits theaters and streaming on Peacock on October 27.

Can’t wait until October for some animatronic mayhem with high kill counts and blood splatter? Make a double feature of Willy’s Wonderland starring Nicolas Cage, and the Hanna Barbera-themed The Banana Splits Movie. Both are available on streaming now.
