Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Vampire’s Kiss
So this Rumor Engine is another weird one from Games Workshop. We might have a Vampire that’s regenerating on our hands.
This new Rumor Engine from GW is kind of a gross one. I think it’s probably best if you just take a look at it and let us know what you think it could be.
Rumor Engine: Vampire’s Kiss
First things first, why a vampire? Well, the fangs are kind of a big clue. This poor soul appears to be tied to a post of some as well with various spikes protruding out if it. The skeleton also has both their arms tied to these spikes. What’s really interesting (besides the fangs) is that the internal organs are still there. Or some of them. The rib cage has been uh… “removed” and there’s clearly something going on here.
Could this be a vampire stuck in a cycle of regeneration? Is this some sick trophy or a blasphemous punishment? Is this even a vampire or could it be some other unlucky humanoid with fangs? Furthermore, who would have such a trophy on a wrack for their enemies to see?
So the long and short of this one is we have a lot of questions without a whole lot of answers. Personally, I’m leaning toward some sort of Warcry warband model as those seem to get some really cool one-off models from the sculptors and designers at GW. I have no idea what faction would have such a grizzly totem however.
Meta-Narrative Update
This week’s meta-narrative is a mixed bag. On one hand we got a promotion?! On the other hand, if this was a TV show, this feels a lot like a filler episode. Not bad…but not mind blowing or anything. At least the seasonal plot is moving forward. Anyhow, here’s the text:
Congratulations, employee. For your efficient work in providing possible (albeit frequently incorrect) explanations for last week’s image, you are hereby granted the rank of Assistant Sub-Adept. Continue to serve the Office well.
Additionally, if you have any information regarding prior contact with the so-called ‘Rumour Engine’, be sure to include it in today’s report as a matter of urgency.
So yeah…we’re now “Assistant Sub-Adept” and we need to report any activity to the previous “Rumor Engine” or something. Well, funny enough, if they want it included there’s an entire sub-category of Rumor Engine “reports” they can check on and so can you! I bet they are going to want to go back and check on any heresy or chaos manifestations in our “reporting” And to be honest I have been feeling a little chaos-y lately. Those two things probably aren’t related, right?
No need to call the Inquisitor. I swear!
