Roll out the welcome wagons and order tokens, the Cities of Sigmar arrive for pre-order next week. And they arrive in force.

Oh the humanity! And also some of the rest of everyone too. The Cities of Sigmar have been revamped, and they’re coming out for pre-order next week in force. They take the form of a brand new army boxed set that comes complete with battletome, miniatures, and more.

Also there’s a new Vanguard set for the Seraphon. So if you’re looking to add to your Age of Sigmar armies, next week will be a good one for you!

Cities of Sigmar

It is a new age of humanity. And really just mostly humanity, as the Cities of Sigmar get reworked. There’s a brand new box in town, and it promises to usher in this new wave of mortal forces. With a surprising number of just… plain horses? which feels very weird for the Mortal Realms, the Cities of Sigmar are back.

And they’re more heavily armed and armored than ever. The new boxed set comes with two units of 10 Steelhelms, and 5 Cavaliers all led by a Freeguild Marshal and his Alchemite Warforger.

That’s 27 dudes all in all, each of which is about as basic human as it gets. Though, this is still very much the Mortal Realms. So there’s someone holding a cauldron full of molten metal, and a ton of banners and even a few skulls to toss around.

Alongside the new units, you’ll also find the new Battletome for Cities of Sigmar. This has all the rules you need to start your army, or to play your existing CoS army with the fancy new rules.

Of course, if you want to be a little more fanciful, there’s always the new Vanguard: Seraphon set. This features a ton of Sauruses. Saurii? Whatever the plural form, they have scales and powerful clubs enough to settle any dispute. You get 10 Saurus Warriors, 3 Kroxigors, and a Saurus Oldblood riding on the back of a Carnosaur.

All this, next week!
