‘The Killer’ – Michael Fassbender is a Hitman in David Fincher’s New Thriller
Michael Fassbender is an assassin slowly losing his mind while hunting his next target in David Fincher’s The Killer.
After 16 years in developmental limbo, director David Fincher’s passion project is finally making it to screens. It looks like it’s going to be worth the wait.
The Killer stars Michael Fassbender as an assassin on a globetrotting mission to take out a new target. That’s not the only worry on his mind. His enemies are hunting him down while he’s trying to get the job done. His greatest foe, though, is himself. As he carries out jobs and deals with employers and his enemies, he’s slowly unraveling.
If you’ve been missing Mindhunter or are a Se7en fan, you won’t want to miss this. Fincher’s use of tracking shots and precise style work really well with a story like this. As will Fassbender’s ability to play someone teetering on the edge.

The Killer Cast & Details
The film stars Michael Fassbender, Charles Parnell, Monique Ganderton, Arliss Howard, Kerry O’Malley, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton. David Fincher is directing from a script by Alexis Nolent (Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory) and Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, Fight Club). It’s based on French author Alexis Nolent‘s award-winning graphic novel of the same name.
A man solitary and cold, methodical and unencumbered by scruples or regrets, the killer waits in the shadows, watching for his next target. And yet the longer he waits, the more he thinks he’s losing his mind, if not his cool. A brutal, bloody and stylish noir story of a professional assassin lost in a world without a moral compass, this is a case study of a man alone, armed to the teeth and slowly losing his grip.
The Killer premieres in select theaters on October 28th and on Netflix November 10th.
