Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Coughing Up A Spear
The latest Rumor Engine looks rather painful as someone had a bad end to what we can assume was a bad day.
We’re back with a new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop because it’s Tuesday and that’s just how it goes. Today we’ve got the leftovers of what I think it’s safe to assume was a fairly violent confrontation of sorts. Either that or someone is a big Vlad The Impaler fan. Take a look for yourself.
Rumor Engine: Coughing Up A Spear
So it’s pretty clear that this skeleton’s got a very strange condition. It this poor soul was lucky, then they were already dead before they got a spear stabbed through them. Otherwise, ouch. Maybe it’s just decorative? Eh…probably not. Either way, that spear looks like it’s been there for a long time as it looks quite rusty. So fast forward to now — what faction could this be from?
I’m thinking it’s probably something from the Undead factions. Although they wouldn’t waste a perfectly good skeleton like that, would they? Honestly this could be a lot of things. Maybe it’s a back-banner or some sort of decorative piece to a much larger throne or something. Maybe it’s just some cool basing bit.
I wouldn’t rule out chaos either, although they tend to just go for skulls and their spears also tend to be a little more well taken care of. That said, it does fit as an intimidation thing. Could be chaos as well.
I was also thinking it could be a Orruk thing — specifically something from the Kruleboyz. This death seems pretty cruel for one, but the age/rustiness of the spear made me think of them. However, it’s too “man-made” to be one of their weapons so perhaps we can rule them out.
