The Cast of ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Played D&D Live On Stream And Almost Immediately Started Bullying Gale
The actors behind Karlach, Shadowheart, and the rest of Baldur’s Gate 3‘s party played D&D live on stream, and you won’t want to miss it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the biggest hits in both the video game and D&D scene right now. And the crossover possibilities are going strong. Case in point, this past week, the cast of Baldur’s Gate 3, that is, the actors behind Shadowheart, Karlach, Astarion, Wyll, Lae’zel, and Gale sat down to play D&D live on the High Rollers channel. If you missed it, there are two episodes up right now.
And you’ll definitely want to watch it. Not only is the stream entertaining, but the chemistry between the party members is palpable. It’s the same sort of dynamic that makes the game so infectious. Right down to everyone bullying Gale.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Cast Plays D&D Live
All 6 Origin Characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 join High Rollers to play a game of D&D for the first time EVER! When Tav gets hit by a powerful spell it’s up to Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Shadowheart, Wyll and Lae’zell to gear up and save the day!
This is the first time they’ve played D&D, and it shows in the best possible ways. There’s a lot of the new playerness that leads them to try interesting things. And it’s probably also why they immediately latched onto the best part of D&D: finding weird little guys. Namely, there was a magical imp named Bing Bong, whose whole job was to stand by a door and say “bing bong” whenever someone came through the door. Which makes for an adorably weird little guy.
You can see Bing Bong in episode 2.
The team venture into Athkatla with a few friendly NPCs (BING BONG!) and try to solve the curse that has taken Tav prisoner!
Will they be able to save Tav (aka the custom origin character that the vast majority of Baldur’s Gate 3 players are playing)? Or will they end up getting completely derailed, like 90% of newbie D&D adventurers do? Only one way to find out!
Now all Larian has to do is put Bing Bong in Baldur’s Gate 3 and the recursion will be complete.
