This Commemorative Series miniature includes details and features you can’t find anywhere else, making it ideal for anyone looking to add another of these mighty warriors to their collection, as well as providing an opportunity to show off your painting abilities with a heroic pose that will look excellent on your display shelves. Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Exemplary Battles of The Age of Darkness: Volume One $50
The Horus Heresy spans innumerable desperate battles and bitter grudges – many shrouded in mystery, or the subject of grim and terrible rumours. The champions who fight these far-flung battles are unlike any in the galaxy’s history, warriors armed with inimicable strategies and esoteric weaponry, locked into struggles across sprawling arcologies, towering citadels, and claustrophobic tunnels.
In this book, you will find five accounts of battles from the Age of Darkness, along with the campaign and missions rules to recreate them – or similar struggles – on the tabletop in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
You’ll also find new and updated profiles for five notable Legiones Astartes units unique to Legions that fought in these battles – the Night Lords, Iron Warriors, World Eaters, Ultramarines, and Salamanders – as well as expanded rules for the Emperor’s Children Traitor Legion, and complete rules for their ascended Daemon Primarch, Fulgrim Transfigured.
Inside this 112-page hardback book you’ll find:
– The Defence of Sotha – In a storm-wracked system, ragged Night Lords prey on an Ultramarines garrison. Includes background lore and an Age of Darkness mission inspired by the final assault. Plus, rules and a conversion guide for Night Lords Atramentar Squads – murderous Terminators sworn to Sevatar.
– The Siege of Hydra Cordatus – Battle-hungry Iron Warriors assault an Imperial Fists citadel. Includes background lore, an Age of Darkness mission and a Zone Mortalis mission themed around the siege, and Exemplary Campaign rules for tying both missions together. Plus, rules and a conversion guide for the Iron Warriors Dominator Cohort – Perturabo’s forsaken Terminator bodyguard.
– The Battle of Armatura – A war-world of Ultramar comes under attack by a World Eaters armada. Includes background lore, three Age of Darkness missions based on the invasion, and Exemplary Campaign rules for tying all three missions together. Plus, rules and a conversion guide for World Eaters Red Hand Destroyer Assault Squads – planet-scouring berserk warriors.
– The Battle of Calth – Entrenched Ultramarines wage underground war against Word Bearers and their daemonic allies. Includes background lore, three Zone Mortalis missions, and Exemplary Campaign rules for tying all three missions together, with a unique Daemon unit exclusive to the campaign. Plus, rules and a conversion guide for Ultramarines Nemesis Destroyer Squads – marksmen armed with specialist bolters.
– The Purging of the Invocastus Sector – Vengeful Salamanders strike at a world conquered by the Emperor’s Children Includes background lore and an Age of Darkness mission themed around bloody ambushes. Plus, rules and a conversion guide for Salamanders Sanctifier Squads – elite close-range weapons teams.
– Daemon Primarchs – Rules for using Fulgrim Transfigured, the Primarch of the III Legion in his daemonic form. Plus, Legiones Hereticus rules to represent his Legion, the Emperor’s Children, in an even deeper state of corruption.
In order to use the contents of this book, you will require the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – The Age of Darkness Rulebook and one of the Army Books for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legiones Astartes Battle Group $210
The Horus Heresy is the bloodiest conflict humanity has ever known, a galactic civil war in which Space Marines of the Legiones Astartes turn devastating weapons upon those they once called brothers.
Always in the thickest of the fighting, Legion Tactical squads are highly flexible infantry units, able to attack or defend at will, assault heavily fortified positions, and take and hold strategic objectives. A wide array of war machines, such as the Deredeo pattern Dreadnought and the Land Raider Proteus, would often support these ranks.
Start a new Legiones Astartes army or easily add to an existing one with this packed boxed set. It includes 30 Space Marine Legionaries, a Deredeo Dreadnought, and a mighty Land Raider Proteus for you to unleash on the battlefields of the Age of Darkness.
The 30 Space Marine Legionaries included are clad in MKIII ‘Iron’ power armour and come with numerous options for you to personalise your squads. You can also add some extra firepower by converting your troops into Legionary Support Squads, thanks to the Legion Special Weapon frame included.
Back up your infantry with the awesome firepower of the Deredeo Dreadnought – Anvilus Configuration. You can assemble it with either an infantry-shredding anvilus autocannon battery or an armour-rending hellfire plasma cannonade.
You can also get your troops where they need to be with the Land Raider Proteus, which you can assemble as either a Land Raider Proteus Carrier, with a frontal assault ramp for delivering your infantry, or a Land Raider Proteus Explorator, with a dozer blade for traversing broken terrain.
There are two Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets included, along with two Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets. These transfer sheets each offer you a selection of optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions.
This set includes the following:
– 30x MKIII ‘Iron’ Pattern Power Armour Space Marine Legionaries
– 1x Deredeo Dreadnought – Anvilus Configuration
– 1x Land Raider Proteus
– 2x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets
– 2x Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets
– 1x Legion Special Weapons Frame including 5 plasma guns, 5 volkite chargers, 5 volkite calivers, 5 flamers, 5 meltaguns, and 5 rotor cannons
This multipart plastic kit contains 927 plastic components, and is supplied with 30x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, 1x Citadel 80mm Round Base, two Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets, each containing 293 transfers, and two Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets, each containing 44 transfers.
These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook and either the Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book, which are available separately, to make full use of these models.
The miniatures in this set are also available separately.
MKIII Tactical Squad $75
Tactical squads are the mainstay of the Space Marine Legions and the force by which the Great Crusade has reconquered much of the galaxy. By the fighting power of thousands of superhuman warriors such as these, armed and armoured for battle in the harshest of environments and the deadliest of war zones, the enemies of Mankind have been crushed repeatedly. The Legion Tactical squad is a highly flexible infantry unit, able to attack or defend at will, assault heavily fortified positions and take and hold strategic objectives, or simply slaughter an enemy comprehensively in almost any situation.
MKIII ‘Iron’ power armour dates from the wars of the Great Crusade, and is renowned for its use in full frontal assault due to its bulky but durable design.
This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries, which you can field in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy as a Legion Tactical Squad of 20 models or two units of 10 models. Each of these Legionaries is armed with a bolter and bolt pistol, and you can optionally equip them with various additional components such as grenades, pouches, and a bayonet for melee fighting. You can also build up to two Legionaries with a Legion vexilla, two with a nuncio-vox, and two with an augury scanner.
Accessories and alternative head options are included to build a Legion Tactical Sergeant for each of your squads – the kit offers a variety of extra weapon options for these unit leaders, including plasma pistols, power swords, power fists, and lightning claws.
These models have no Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint them in whichever colours they choose. However, the box includes a transfer sheet with 293 optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions.
This multipart plastic kit contains 368 plastic components, and is supplied with 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
Deredeo Dreadnought: Anvilus Configuration $80
The Deredeo Dreadnought is a walking heavy weapons platform, designed to combine superior firepower with the flexibility and durability of a Dreadnought chassis. Though highly resource-intensive to produce and maintain, its undoubted survivability and killing power ensures the Deredeo is in high demand by Traitor and Loyalist Legions alike from the few Forge Worlds able to fashion them.
This multipart plastic kit builds a Deredeo Dreadnought in the Anvilus configuration. This intimidating combat engine can be assembled with either a fast-firing Anvilus autocannon battery or an armour-rending hellfire plasma cannonade for its primary, arm-mounted weapons, along with either twin-linked heavy bolters or twin-linked heavy flamers embedded in its torso. As if this wasn’t enough firepower, this walking gun platform also has a powerful Aiolos missile launcher mounted on top of its hull.
The kit comes with multiple cosmetic build options, with different leg poses, knee pads, armour panels, carapace armour, and head options, allowing you to enjoy customising this miniature into the perfect fit for your Legiones Astartes force, whether you’ve thrown your lot in with the Loyalists or Traitors.
This multipart plastic kit comprises 166 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 80mm Round Base and a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet, containing 44 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
Stormvault Skirmish Case $60
The Stormvault Skirmish Case is ideal for transporting and protecting your Citadel miniatures. The revolutionary miniature shock absorption system has been specially designed to fit skirmish squad-size collections quickly and easily without the chore of cutting and shaping foam to fit.
The case is lined with smooth silicone bristles that close together with the lid and grip your miniatures in place securely, protecting them from damage. The two halves allow you to use one side like a tray to place models in before sealing the case with the other, using the clips located around the edge, and each half of the case features a rubber top to help prevent it from falling or sliding off a table.
The bristles are precisely spaced to hold any type of miniature on a 25-40mm round base and up to a 75mm oval base. The bristles have been designed to follow the path of least resistance, moving around even the thinnest piece of plastic, and are completely smooth, so there is no snagging, even with the pointiest spear or a delicate leaf.
Measuring 278x220x41.5mm, the Stormvault Skirmish Case is an ideal way to carry a Kill Team squad, Warcry warband, Blood Bowl team, Necromunda gang, Warhammer Underworlds warband, or any small, but elite, force of miniatures.
