Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist – Try to Beat Five Daemon Princes!

I already talked about Daemon Princes this week, so here’s a Chaos Daemons list to see just how good we can make five of them.

Of course this leads me to looking at which ones to use and I decided to just go with regular Chaos Daemons as a method for Daemon Prince usage.  With that – hope on this ride and see the nonsense that an army builder lets me do!

Why Chaos Daemons Over CSM?

I thought about using CSM as the main “Daemon Prince” builder but thought let’s just go straight Daemon Princes as a method to get a bunch of flying jerks together. This means picking the “first” daemon Prince with Be’lakor and then adding stuff around him.  It does feel weird because previous rules wouldn’t let you take other Daemon Princes with Be’lakor but in the new age of simpler army building – you can do it!

On top of Daemon Princes I took the kind whip daddy with his best friend riding their back – Syll’Esake as the “Skansen” prince in this immortal band of doom.  I tried to take one from each god and see how it goes – especially taking all the enhancements I can. I do love a great theme element throw into any list.  I also threw in three Soul Grinders as another “big” monster that isn’t a greater Daemon.

Enough waffling – let’s see the list right?

Daemon Prince List Tactics

I threw in some Pink Horrors as a method for backfield holding options.  This way we can keep a back objective and still let all your princes run around like crazy monsters of doom.  The Tzeentch prince is designed to shoot a lot more too as well as all the others being a bit nutty if they get into combat.  It is a dang shame their AP is low but hey – I wanted to try and get as many Daemon Princes to work well and this is what I came up with.  Plus I probably have all if it with all the random princes I have in my pile of shame.

Happy Chaotic Gaming!
