Tired of living in a semi-feudal monarchy? These five weapons are the perfect fit for seizing the means of production and empowering your people.

Look we’ve all been there. You’re playing in a D&D game and you’re talking to a king or a noble who just can’t help but make you realize that the wealthy class hoard all the power and resources, and use it, not for the betterment of the people they supposedly rule over, but for the enrichment of themselves.

When that happens, it’s time to reach for one of these magical weapons so you can show that monarch/noble/evil cleric/deity how we do things downtown.

Akmon, Hammer of Purphoros

This is one of the hardest-hitting magical hammers in all of D&D. This artifact was first introduced in Mythic Odysseys of Theros, and as the name implies, it’s associated with (and wielded by the chosen of) Purphoros, a god associated with torches, forges, and uplifting and inspiring those who follow him. He created a weapon that could kill the gods themselves.

And his hammer is no slouch either. It’s a +3 weapon that deals +3d10 damage with every hit and renders you immune to exhaustion and resistant to fire damage. It also lets you cast the following spells (save DC 18): animate objects, heat metal, fabricate, magic weapon, mend, and shatter. Making it perfect for ensuring that every one of your comrades in arms is cared for.

Moon Sickle

This magical sickle ranges anywhere from +1 to +3. This is nothing exciting, but it also has two properties that make it extremely attractive to Rangers and Druids. Both classes can use it as a Magical focus. This allows them to cast spells while wielding the Sickle even if they don’t have a hand free… most of the time.

But also whenever you cast a spell that heals hit points, you can add an extra d4 to the total amount healed, because when you heal your community, you heal even more.

Hammer of Thunderbolts

The Hammer of Thunderbolts is a magical weapon. To use it, you must also wear a Belt of Giant Strength and Gauntlets of Ogre Power. In doing so, you’ll increase your Strength by an additional 4 over what your already enhanced strength is, up to a maximum of 30. This makes you as strong as any Titan of Industry.

And it makes you excel at killing them, since rolling a natural 20 to attack any giant forces it to save or die.

Sickle of Cunning

This magic sickle is a third-party item designed by The Griffon’s Saddlebag. It’s a reminder that even the most humble +1 weapon can make a big difference in the right circumstances. This +1 weapon has the finesse tag. But when you wield it while making a bonus action attack, it grants advantage.

Titanstone Knuckles

These magical gauntlets will make you one of the best at seizing the means of production—or whatever else happens to be close to hand. Wielded by the legendary Grog Strongjaw, the Titanstone Knuckles were carved from the bones of a slain-earth primordial. While worn, these gauntlets increase one’s strength and allow them to deal double damage to structures.

When you awaken the Knuckles, you gain access to the Enlarge/Reduce spell. This allows you to extend your reach beyond anyone’s expectations.

How do you seize the means of production?
