The cargo sorting yards of Hive Primus provide the setting for this battle between House Orlock and the Redemptionist.

Necromunda has moved the fighting out of the Spire and on to the Ash Wastes. But even outside in the harsh climate there are pockets of civilization. Settlements, outposts, and factories dot the barren lands. All in service to the Imperial tithes.

The Nexus is one such place. It’s a location known for it’s great cargo sorting yards where millions of Munitorum Contains shuffle through. This constantly shifting maze is where thousands of workers and machines labor — and also where bloody battle ground erupted when the Great Pilgrimage arrived at Hive Primus.

Nexus of Violence

This Apocrypha Necromunda offers a few different things inside. First up, you’ve got the lore that covers a short story about the Nexus and the Gangs gearing up to fight. The second part is a rules option for the Cawdor to use.

It’s noted in the designer commentary that these are designed for this particular scenario but you can incorporate them into your campaigns if your arbiter agrees. They are to be used in conjunction with the Cawdor Articles of Faith found in Necromunda: House of Faith.

Container Canyon Run – Scenario Rules

And finally we get into the actual scenario called “Container Canyon Run” — which, as you may have guessed from the title, is about fighting in a canyon made of containers. While this scenario can be played with any gangs it’s worth noting that if you want to recreate the Nexus of Violence then you can make the following changes:

Aside from that it’s a Rolling Roads scenario with Impassable Sides. There’s a slight hitch though…

The fact that this map “turns” is a pretty cool feature. The Rolling Roads scenarios are already kinda nuts and this is a cool twist on it. As for the rest of the scenario you’ve got your standard Attacker/Defender dynamic. And you’re probably going to want to include vehicles and wargear that makes your gangers mounted for this one. The game ends after six rounds or until either gang has no models left on the battlefield.

The win condition is pretty straightforward, too. The Attacker is just trying to get off the battlefield while the defender is trying to take them out. For the full scenario rules you can download them at the link below.

Personally, I really like the idea behind this mission. The Rolling Roads scenario is one of the most unique scenarios in all of Necromunda. It does take some extra time as you essentially have to “slide” the entire board. But that’s what makes it different. I also love those Cargo Containers because the everyday, mundane terrain makes the world of Necromunda feel more “real” than an exploded ruin for me. This is one that’s on my list to play for sure!

You’re going to want to CONTAIN(er) your Road Rage for this scenario.
