‘Warhammer 40K: Darktide’: The Orthus Offensive Brings Two Powerful New Bosses
The Traitor Curse update is pulling out the big guns. Well the twin guns? You get to fight the Karnak Twins in the Orthus Offensive.
The Traitor Curse Update for Warhammer 40K: Darktide rolls out more stuff today as a new mission rolls out. In The Orthus Offensive, you’ll get to take on the Karnak twins. These are the two, traitorous lieutenants who are the fists and blades of the Wolfer, the mysterious demagogue who leads the Moebian forces on Tertium.
The newest update is online now. As is Patch 1.2.21 which brings various hotfixes to the game, making it easier to get through to them, not because the game is any easier, but rather because it won’t crash when you switch from one Stimm to another, for example. At any rate, take a look at the Twins in action.

And right away you can see how the story is taking a darker turn. In the Chaos-hewn back alleys of the Carnival, Explicator Zola has disobeyed orders to send the strike team (you) after the Karnak twins. And now that they’ve been ambushing folks for a while, they’re finally ready for a showdown in The Orthus Offensive.
But it turns out, that there could be more to the story. Is there a traitor in the rejects’ midst? And if so, who? And why? Is the “traitor” in the Traitor Curse update someone closer to home, or is that simply the normal traitor of the Chaos-corrupted Moebian 6th? Either way, this mission seems to highlight the connection between Zola and Wolfer. As more of the Traitor Curse update rolls out, we’ll get to see.
But for now, those twins need killing. And you, the player, you need all that sweet delicious plasteel that they’ll drop.
And as of right now, Warhammer 40K: Darktide is on sale, for a whopping 35% off as part of the anniversary event. The game has flipped from mixed reviews to Very Positive (at least as far as recent reviews go).
