‘Abigail’ – Eternal Darkness Wears a Tutu in New Horrifying Vampire Movie
Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, and Giancarlo Esposito star in the first trailer for Abigail.
A crew of strangers is hired to kidnap the young daughter of a crime boss; they’ll be paid millions to make sure she stays safe overnight. What should be a routine and easy job quickly turns into a horror show. This kid isn’t a cute ballerina. She’s a blood-sucking monster that likes to play with her food. The kidnappers find themselves having to fight or become her next meal.
The movie is from the folks behind Ready or Not, which was a blast. I’m hoping for more of that dark humor in Abigail, along with some gory kills. Check out the first trailer.
I’m sold. This looks like a lot of fun without being overly campy. It has a great cast with horror bonafides, too.
You have to wonder—is Abigail behind her own kidnapping or is her mysterious crime boss’s father going to show up? Is Mr. De Ville going to make an appearance? We’ll find out in April.
