Age of Sigmar: Saviours of Cinderfall Rules Reveal – Send In The Heroes
Lead by Callis and Toll the Saviours of Cinderfall are a unique Regiment of Renown for Age of Sigmar that have powerful rules to win the day!
There’s a new Regiment of Renown coming out with the Dawnbringers Book 5: Shadow of the Crone. The Saviours of Cinderfall are a crew of heroes who have banded together to take on all manner of threats. They’ve also got potent abilities that let them swing for the fences against their enemies. Today we’re getting a look at those rules. If you can afford their points then this crew may be just what the list doctor ordered!

But in order to harness the full might of their particular skills, you’ll first want to make sure you include the Saviours of Cinderfall Regiment of Renown.”
Saviours of Cinderfall Rules Preview
Let’s just start with these three rules. First up is Duty Bound and this ability makes the Saviours of Cinderfall great for fighting around objectives. A +1 to save rolls and +1 to wards is just flat out good. This works well with Callis and Toll’s ability of Grim Determination which gives them a 5+ ward. That combo is going to make it a 4+ within range of an objective. And then there’s Toll’s companion Valius, the Keeper of Aqshian that gets to negative modifiers to save rolls for attacks.
If you were concerned about getting to set up these heroes within range of an objective you can use Lyssa Revenya’s stealth skills to set them up in a more advantageous position. And hopefully this closer range will allow Secrets From The Shadows to kick in and score some extra command points. You’re going to need them! Another potent ability that combos well with other boosts within the Regiment of Renown is Sentenced to Death. This allows them to pick one enemy unit and they will hit on 2+ regardless of any positive or negative modifiers.
Right Tool For The Job doubles the damage characteristic of an attack for Callis and Toll. Now, this is only against Wizards or Daemons, but still — that’s enough variety they will be a problem for most armies. Also, you can combo this with Their Finest Hour so they’ll be wounding on 2+ as well. Hitting on 2s with a 2+ to wound is already mean. Now it’s also double damage!

“So with 4 attacks apiece and a base Damage of 2 on their Azyrite Blades, Callis and Toll can potentially dish out a massive 32 Damage between them!”
That’s nothing to sneeze at! When they get the scent of a wizard that target is going to be in serious trouble. And just in case you though regular heroes were going to be safe from them, Hanniver Toll has one final trick to play:
This is a threat to anything with 11 wounds or less. Sure, it’s not super reliable on things with a higher wound count, but it could still happen. And if you’re a hero in the 6 wound range, well, if the first round of attacks didn’t finish the job these Aqshian Firewood Stakes might just do the job.
