Horus Heresy: Legions Imperialis – New Super-Heavy Tanks Spotted To Take Out Titans

Legions Imperialis is bringing some big guns on big tracks to take on those pesky Titans. Say hello to more Super-Heavies!

The Solar Auxilia might be outgunned and outmatched when comparing a basic trooper to a Space Marine Legionnaire. And an individual tank is no match for a Titan. However, the Solar Auxilia brings something else to the board: Numbers. That doesn’t just apply to their men either.

If you can’t go toe-to-toe with a Titan then your next best option is to bring in some friends. The new Shadowsword Super-Heavy and the Stormblade are rolling in to drop some serious firepower and even the playing field.

Shadowswords Super-Heavy

“Shadowswords are massive, armour-busting beasts built on the Baneblade chassis, with all unnecessary hull weapons and bulky turrets stripped away to fit a colossal volcano cannon. A squadron of these behemoths can make swiss cheese of the largest Titans, and it’s a foolish Princeps who doesn’t treat them with the respect they deserve.”

When you really need to puncture a Titan the Shadowswords are the right tool for the job. Considering you can take a squadron of these and each one has the chance to down a Titan with a bit of luck you’re getting a bit of a deal. Engine Killer (2) is no joke on their Volcano Cannons! Do not underestimate the threat of a Shadowsword Squadron.

Stormblade And Stormsword Super-Heavy

If you’re not taking on loads of Titans then there are two other options to choose with this kit. There’s the Stormblade which brings the devastating Plasma Blastgun. At a 20″ range, this thing puts out enough firepower with a dangerous AP to melt packs of vehicles and Space Marines alike.

The other option is the Stormsword which has that snub-nosed Siege Cannon. It has the Demolisher ability and will tear through all manner of buildings and fortifications. Structures are not safe from this weapon!
