Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Gwenom & Scarlet Spider Up Close
Gwemon and Scarlet Spider and joining the Web Warriors in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. It’s time for a closer look at these new characters!
We already got a rules preview for both Gwenom and Scarlet Spider. So if you’re looking for a deeper dive on what they can do read those. But today, I’m happy to announce that Atomic Mass Games sent us a review copy of this new Character Pack. It’s time to dive into what you’re getting and how these minis look up close!
Gwenom And Scarlet Spider Character Pack
Inside the box you’ll get all the cards for both characters and the team tactic cards. There’s three that you’ll be adding into your collection: Venomized, Masked Menace, and Clone Saga.
Again, all of these cards come in multiple languages, too. So you’re really getting four sets of all of them. I don’t know about you but I’m building up quite the collection of extra cards at this point for Marvel: Crisis Protocol. It might be time to use these cards as a way to learn a new language or something…
Anyhow there’s also the minis that are included. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pics of them still on the sprue. I’ll be honest: I was just too excited to get these characters built to wait!
So I will say that assembly on Scarlet Spider was pretty easy. However, I kind messed up on Gwenom. The symbiote tongue broke when I was clipping it out. I had to glue it back and it ended up at a different angle than the photos. I guess that’s how I’ll always know that it’s the Gwenom that I built!
Aside from that little mix-up, they were pretty fun to assemble. I really like both of their very acrobatic poses. I think they both really showcase the freedom of movement both the these characters have. It’s both cinematic and appropriate for the Spider-Friend types to be so fluid and graceful looking.
I’m looking forward to getting these two primed and painted. I’ve already got plans to toss them in a list or two. If only I had some appropriate villains to match them up against…
The Gwenom and Scarlet Spider Character Pack is currently up for Pre-order. They have a release date of May 17, 2024.
Two alternate versions of prominent characters make their Marvel: Crisis Protocol debut in this new pack! On Earth-616 Gwen Stacy is dead. But on Earth-65, it is Peter Parker who has died and Gwen Stacy who lives life as a masked hero. Accepting a bond with the Venom symbiote and the power that if offers, she sets off on a quest to right the wrongs of her home universe. Gwenom is joined by Ben Reilly, a clone of Peter Parker made to be a weapon. Known as the Scarlet Spider, he is determined to prove that he is a hero in his own right. On the tabletop, these characters enhance the Web Warriors affiliation with their inherent web-swinging skills and three Team Tactic cards.
