Review: Amazing Ironclad Drake Miniature for Conquest
The Dweghom have a new beast in their menagerie. Check out the Ironclad Drake!
In this Ironclad Drake review, we take a look at a large miniature for the Dweghom faction of Conquest by Parabellum Games. We also look at the Raegh Drake Rider miniature that you can buy as an add-on. For those unfamiliar with the game setting, these are the Parabellum Games version of fantasy Dwarves.
As you would expect, the artwork on this boxed set is incredible. The miniature itself also looks great and is well done. Let’s start with the contents. There is a unit card, printed directions, and 5 sprues of chunky pieces. Putting it together was super easy.

Building the Ironclad Drake Miniature
I started with the head, continued to the body, and then the throne. Today I am using Limonene Cement to paste together the model. It doesn’t smell as bad as plastic cement and works in a similar way.
I then mounted the throne onto the body and continued the work by adding parts to the model as per the directions.
The only difficult part was gluing together some of the flag pieces on the back of the model, and that wasn’t too difficult.
At this point, the model looks amazing, and I have a choice of riders. I can either add the skeleton rider that comes in the box or the Raegh Drake Rider, which is available as a separate purchase.
This skeleton dwarf is the rider that comes in the box. In this post, will show you how both look on this miniature.
As seen earlier, the Raegh Drake Rider comes separately in its own box and you can use it either on its own or mount it on the drake.
I found the Raegh Rider a little tough to build, and I actually had to bring out my assembly handle to hold the pieces together while the super glue dried on this model. Because the model is resin, I used super glue to assemble this part of the miniature. The skeleton and drake, though, are all plastic.

Let’s look at the completed kit. Straight out of the Ironclad Drake kit, here is how the model looks without the added Raegh miniature. You can see the skeleton mounted on the throne here.
Now, let’s look at how the model looks with the added character model that you can buy separately.
Here is the model with the Raegh Drake Rider.
And here is the Raegh on his own.
Overall, the quality of these Parabellum Games Miniatures is really good.
