Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Lightning Strikes Twice
Games Workshop is here to tease us with a new Rumor Engine. What could this mysterious bit be? Time to do some sleuthing.
It’s another Tuesday which means it’s Rumor Engine time. This one is a strange one but I’ve got a few theories. Are they right? Well, take a look and we’ll discuss them below.
“Well, we’ve finally been stumped. Haven’t the slightest clue what today’s Rumour Engine is showing us, and as you all know by now we’re professionals at this subtle reveal malarkey. Is it a weird vine? Some energy with rocks in it? A spider web? “
Rumor Engine Lightning Strikes Twice
I don’t think this one is spiderweb. With that one out of the way, it’s certainly “some rocks with energy in it” — or atleast a type of energy blasting through it. There’s more than a few options it could be for that energy type though.
Right off the bat I can’t help but think of the Void Dragon. There’s clearly lots of rocks and raw power surging throughout this one and this could be in a similar vein.
The Seraphon are known to have a few wild energy sources themselves. Don’t forget out the Realmshaper Engine, either.
Lots of energy it spewing out of that who’s to say it didn’t get a little out of control and explode like the Rumor Engine image.
I also wonder if we might be looking at something related to the Stormcast Eternals. They have a lot of units getting revamped coming up soon. The Prosecutors are getting new models with updated wings. The Celestant Prime is still rocking those old style wings…perhaps a redo is in order?
And then there’s the other side of the new edition of Age of Sigmar…the Skaven. Who are also rumored to be getting loads of new kits. They also have an inclination to mess with Warp Lightning toys — which produce energy from rocks, a.k.a. Warp Stone.
There’s load of things this one could be. Unfortunately, we need more of this image to go on to really dig down. But here’s where you come in. If you’ve got any theories as to what it could be drop us a line in the comments and share them with the rest of the class.
We got the lighting, who’s bringing the thunder?!
